Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry is an integral part of pharmacy education program. The subjects covered in this department, as a part of JNTUH syllabus for various years of B.Pharm and Pharm.D includes Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, and Chemistry of natural Products. It also covers several aspects of new drug discovery and development in collaboration with the other departments of the institute. Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry has three well equipped laboratories. The laboratories are spacious and well ventilated with all the facilities having adequate space for students to carry out experimental work smoothly.  

In the laboratories we have various instruments including advanced instruments like U.V spectrophotometer, HPLC etc., essential for conduction of experiments mention in JNTUH syllabus and to facilitate the academic/research work.
